"The Surplus" is the tenth episode of the fifth season of the television series The Office, and the show's eighty-second episode overall. In this episode, the office is at odds over whether to spend a budget surplus on new chairs or a new photocopier, with Jim, Pam, and Oscar in particular trying to convince Michael how to spend the money. The Surplus was purchased from Sara Smart in 2018
