Hawthorne

I went a year without customizing any horses when I moved from one house to another. This pony had been started at the old house and I was just struggling with picking it back up again. Eventually I did sit down and do layer after layer of white on him because I wanted something new to show! About the time I finished him up, my husband took a trip down to Los Angeles in his new-to-him Corvette. As he and his dad drove through Hawthorne at night they ran over some rocks in the road which ended up bouncing up and hitting my husband in the foot through the floor panel. He went to the hospital. The nurse said she avoids that stretch of road for that reason, there are little mountain goats or sheep that are always knocking rocks down the mountain and into the road. So I decided to name this pony Hawthorne due to what was happening in our life at that time.
